The World Needs Good News!

I just feel the need to say something positive! I challenge our media to take a positive stance on our current economic situation. We know things are very tough for many people and it is forcing many changes in peoples lives.  I learned this lesson from my son, change is good even though at the time it happens it doesn’t seem that way. We need to remember that everyday is a good day and if we didn’t face some adversity life would be boring. We will recover from this downturn as we always do and just like all of the great technology that we acquired from the tech bubble we will have better ideas from this as well. Hopefully we will finally move to better uses of energy, update our grids for delivery and make the move into the future that we desperately need to be competitive in the World. I maintain that if the media would spend one week on being positive we would see a much quicker recovery. The word of the day is think positive, it makes us more creative!

Stano Bustos Memorial Foundation

 The Stano Bustos Memorial Foundation is another shining example of people helping people. In our community we lost one of our greatest citizens. He was a single guy who always put his community first, he loved where he lived and the people who lived in the community. He helped raise the youth even though he didn’t have children of his own. He gave of his time to teach skiing to the kids, always was first on the scene at a benefit or fund raiser. The Stano Bustos Memorial Foundation was established to keep his memory alive and what he stood for. The Foundation raises funds to give back to the community through scholarships for the kids, boys and girls club, funeral expenses for victims, child services, hospital foundation, ski programs and many other community needs. The 2009 Event will take place this July 25th at Bueg’s Riding Arena in Red Lodge, Montana and will feature a premier regional band Billy Waldo and the Flying Grizzlies with opening act to be determined. Are we on the rebound?

It appears we had a great day out of the stock  market yesterday, is this the bottom, are we ready to move positive? I hope so we all need some good news from the economy and deserve it. We all must realize there are many good things that will come out of this, for one thing we will learn to rely on each other again, neighbors helping neighbors just like it used to be, being a country boy raised in the old school that will be a welcome site. I run my motorcycle forums with that mission in mind, people helping people and it is awesome to see how many great people there are out there. With a group of 56,000 members we virtually have very few problems. People riding across the USA being able to rely on friends they have met on the forum for help on the road or a place to stay. We are a nation of great people, sometimes we have to dig a little deeper but it is in all of us! If we help one person everyday or offer a kind word or requested advice think how good it makes you feel not to mention the person you have helped. We lead by example in our everyday life and our nation. Have a great day!

Screaming Deals!

After going over this months rebates with Jake I have come to the conclusion that for those folks who can buy this is going to be a screaming deal month. Wanting to be done with winter!

I am way excited for some nice weather, can’t wait to drag out the Kawasaki’s and get to having some fun. So far all I have done is plow snow with my Brute Force 750 and even though it’s slightly entertaining it tends to be a lot like work. We have had a couple tastes of spring and now I am ready to be done with the winter thing. Lot’s of plans for the summer, Beartooth Kawasaki Forum Rally second week in July and several other weekend parties and concerts! We as in Billy Waldo and the Flying Grizzlies will be playing the Stano Bustos Memorial Concert again this year and that is always a huge blast, that will be July 25th. Sunshine and fun that’s what I’m talking about!

Conversation about life!

I just love talking to people about life itself, how it is and how it used to be! I have found over the years that listening is a very cool thing.

It always amazes me at what a person can learn from just listening, I spent a whole day doing that not to long ago and I felt  like I had spent a month in school. My favorite thing to do is to go to what I call OBC or old bastards coffee in the morning at the local IGA grocery store and listen to my elders tell me how it was and now how it is. We have made huge leaps in technology in the past few years it’s almost to much to grasp but damn interesting none the less. We are learning a ton about our government just listening and the new transparency policy has been very educational for me as I am sure you as well. It’s not always what we want to hear but it dang sure enlightens a person and I think thats great. The more educated we are on what is very important to us and our families can’t be a bad thing. Right?

Retail has backed off for most all power-sport dealers, us included. To combat this we are reducing inventory as fast as we can.
