Two Great Motorcycle Forums

I am a very lucky man to be an owner of two great motorcycle forums, www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/forum and www.motorcycleridersforum.com/forum.  kawasakimotorcycle.org has been around since 2003 has grown to 63,000 members world wide, motorcycleridersforum is just a few months old, we just started it to accommodate non manufacturer specific riders. Even thought both forums welcome riders of all manufacturers we decided that being non specific is helpful. These communities are moderated by some of the greatest people you could ask for, they understand that we want a family friendly atmosphere and help keep both forums fun for the members. We ask all members to leave their troubles at the door and just spend some time discussing motorcycle,riding,touring and having a good time. If riding is one of your passions be sure and stop by one of the forums or both and say hi.

The World Needs Good News!

I just feel the need to say something positive! I challenge our media to take a positive stance on our current economic situation. We know things are very tough for many people and it is forcing many changes in peoples lives.  I learned this lesson from my son, change is good even though at the time it happens it doesn’t seem that way. We need to remember that everyday is a good day and if we didn’t face some adversity life would be boring. We will recover from this downturn as we always do and just like all of the great technology that we acquired from the tech bubble we will have better ideas from this as well. Hopefully we will finally move to better uses of energy, update our grids for delivery and make the move into the future that we desperately need to be competitive in the World. I maintain that if the media would spend one week on being positive we would see a much quicker recovery. The word of the day is think positive, it makes us more creative!

Are we on the rebound?

It appears we had a great day out of the stock  market yesterday, is this the bottom, are we ready to move positive? I hope so we all need some good news from the economy and deserve it. We all must realize there are many good things that will come out of this, for one thing we will learn to rely on each other again, neighbors helping neighbors just like it used to be, being a country boy raised in the old school that will be a welcome site. I run my motorcycle forums with that mission in mind, people helping people and it is awesome to see how many great people there are out there. With a group of 56,000 members we virtually have very few problems. People riding across the USA being able to rely on friends they have met on the forum for help on the road or a place to stay. We are a nation of great people, sometimes we have to dig a little deeper but it is in all of us! If we help one person everyday or offer a kind word or requested advice think how good it makes you feel not to mention the person you have helped. We lead by example in our everyday life and our nation. Have a great day!

Conversation about life!

I just love talking to people about life itself, how it is and how it used to be! I have found over the years that listening is a very cool thing.

It always amazes me at what a person can learn from just listening, I spent a whole day doing that not to long ago and I felt  like I had spent a month in school. My favorite thing to do is to go to what I call OBC or old bastards coffee in the morning at the local IGA grocery store and listen to my elders tell me how it was and now how it is. We have made huge leaps in technology in the past few years it’s almost to much to grasp but damn interesting none the less. We are learning a ton about our government just listening and the new transparency policy has been very educational for me as I am sure you as well. It’s not always what we want to hear but it dang sure enlightens a person and I think thats great. The more educated we are on what is very important to us and our families can’t be a bad thing. Right?
